1. Stop going for “keywords”

Instead, you want to focus on finding the questions people are commonly asking about your niche and write to answer those questions.

Think about it for a moment.

Do you really think anybody you know would search “SMART Goals?” Or if they are, they aren’t doing it because they have a specific question they want answered?

In reality, they’re trying to find out the answer to questions like “how to set SMART goals?” or “why don’t SMART goals work?”

Real humans use the internet to find answers to their questions. It’s how you use the internet, isn’t it?

That’s why you have to focus on queries rather than keywords.

2. Answer people’s questions first, not last

The days of those ridiculous recipe blogs are over.

At least, the ones who are still stuck in 2003 and somehow think it’s a great idea to give their entire family history before revealing the reason that people actually came to their website.

Nobody wants to read through the beginning of most articles. Google hates long intros because humans hate reading long…
