…t? What’s the weather report? How can we fit the museum between breakfast and the sightseeing tour? This isn’t travel. It’s work. Travel is breathing. Living. Seeing. That requires at least trying to blend in. Soak up the culture. Listen. Take a wrong turn. You might even meet someone on the bus.

I love this. I know people who treat their vacation just like you described, only to be exhausted the entire time. It makes me wonder if they get to really see or know anything of the actual people of the country they are in rather than the tourist sights.
