Shannon Ashley thank you for opening my eyes to another way that I may inadvertently be contributing to the awful problem of racism.

I often hear people quote MLK Jr. when he said “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

I think that we too often focus on the hate of the past and present and not enough on the love and light that will get us out of the many messes we are all in right now.
