You weren’t made for greatness. Not in the way you might think.
Maybe you’re like most of the world, and you look up to a select few. You want to be just like Michael Jordan or Jeff Bezos or your favorite author, mentor, or friend.
But the truth is you’ll never be like them.
You’ll be better.
You think that your influence on the world has to be as far reaching as theirs.
It won’t be.
You think your goal is to have millions of raving fans screaming your name.
“The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is” -Jim Carrey
Your job is to find those who you were sent here to help and serve them by sharing your message.
There are people who only you can reach.
They need to hear your voice, your perspective, your experiences that you were given so that you could lift, encourage, and inspire them. They need to hear the principles of self-improvement, life lessons, and success from you, even if they might not know it yet.
Will you answer their call for help?
You are the only person with your specific set of thought patterns, habits, passions, and strengths. You are the only person who will walk the path you are on. And the only one who can decide where it leads.
And that fact makes your personal message and brand, if you will, unlike anything the universe has ever seen or will ever see again. You are unique beyond anything that your brain is even capable of understanding.
It’s time for you to stop conforming to the way everybody else does things. The way everyone writes. They way they talk. The path they follow. You don’t have to be like everyone else, following the same advice.
Their path is not yours.
Your path is your own. It is as unique as you are. Your path is beautiful, filled with successes and failures all along the way.
Your path belongs to you and only you, so own it.
You owe it to those that you were sent to lift, encourage, and inspire to own your path.
Stop being afraid that you are moving forward on a path that nobody else seems to be walking. Don’t worry that you seem to be doing things unlike anyone else on the planet.
If you feel like you are alone, that’s a good thing. It means that you are on the right path.
If you feel like you are going to fall and stumble, you are right. But that failure doesn’t mean the path isn’t the right one — quite the opposite. Your failures are yours to own as well, and they are as unique as your strengths and your path.
The truth is, nobody does things exactly like anyone else, regardless of what we all might think. Everyone’s path is one of a kind, but also essential. Everyone has people that they were sent to help.
Stop trying to be exactly like the people you look up to.
You’ll never be exactly like them.
You’ll be even better.
